May Favourites 2015 + small announcement

Time for another favourites! This time I'm allowing myself to say that this month really flew by because I've been studying and when I look back to it, it's really just one big blur. I've worn simple to no makeup - a trend I surely will be keep up at the first half of next month. I kept grabbing the same products over and over, so this favourites was actually really easy to put together.

Benefit Roundup: What I've tried so far

After a cheeckly little (bargain) purchase, I ended up with a lot of small-sized Benefit products. Happy Sofie. The perfect opportunity to test those products out I'd been wanting for a long time and get to know some I didn't really pay any attention to. I also had one product from Benefit already in my stash, the Hoola bronzer, so let me give you an overview of those things I've already used.

Nails Of The Night #9

I've got a pretty interesting topic on my NOTN today: stick-on nail wraps! I've had these bad boys in my stash for a while after buying them in some long forgotten sales and finally decided it was time to try them out! These are the Envy Nails by Elegant Touch - which I think aren't available anymore and are replaced by the Envy Wraps.

Let's get artsy with some Watercolour Blush

Another product that has been 'hiding' in my stash for quite some time and finally decided to make an appearance on my blog; The Watercolour Liquid Blush by Daniel Sandler in the shade Cherub (doesn't that sound too cute?). It is one of those unique  products I'd been putting in and out of my virtual basket for a while and when I saw an offer, I didn't hesitate. Yay for sales!

Do they look real to you?

Another product that received a lot of praise and hype in the past, now put to the test by humble, little me. I've been eyeing up the They're Real! mascara by Benefit for over a year now - I think - and I have finally laid my hands on it in an 'everything-is-tester-sized' set. I have to say I was nervous to try this out because I didn't want to be dissapointed (Is this a sad thing to say?). But let's see how I truly got on with it.

A concealer that should fit?

I'm a huge fan of concealers. There's no other way of putting it. I 'have' to use them for a whole array of skin issues: a dark undereye area, red cheecks, spots... My list goes on! The Maybelline Fit Me concealer is actually my first 'real' concealer in a long time to hide those problem arreas after a period of time where I used low coverage, brightening concealers.

Nails Of The Night #8

It's time to show you my favourite polish for spring.Yes, I am finally embracing that season, though 'embracing' isn't quite the right word. Let's just say I've come to terms with it. Kind of.
Back to the point of this post now; This is the shade In Stitches by Essie and it's a beautiful, brick red with an orange base.

Seche Vite top coat

I think it's safe for me to assume that a lot of you will already have heard something about the Dry Fast Top Coat by Seche Vite. It's been a highly hyped up one. For the longest time I didn't think you could get it in Belgium and buying nail polish online doesn't really appeal to me, so when I saw it at Pro Duo (a store for hairdressers, mua etc, but you can also shop there without being one of those) I only had to pass it twice before I snatched it up.

Waterproof Eyeshadow?

Isn't it a beautiful daydream to think that you can go out in either the heat or the rain and not have all your makeup melt off your face? Well, to me it is at least. I'm extremely oily on every part of my face, no exception for my eyelids. So when I saw these Colorband Eyeshadow & Liner  by Bourjois with a 'Smudge Proof' claim, I knew I had to take a closer look.

Eyes Of The Day #1

Why, hello! This is yet another kind of 'series' I'm going to start on this blog! I've been wanting to do so for a while, but since my dear Anouchka from lifeofbun wanted to see an eyeshadow up close, I saw this as the perfect opportunity to start with my 'Eyes Of The Day'! Nope, no face (because that would make one loooong post), but Eyes! Short and sweet.

With the flowers in bloom, the trees going green and only the weather left to catch up, I'm really getting into that spring spirit. And what does that mean? Acting like a fairy, ofcourse.Me and my sister got out in our not so sunny garden to shoot some pictures with my melancholic (because of the drizzle) fairy mindset.
