August Favourites 2015

Really. This month didn't feel like a month at all. I thought my break would feel like such a long drag, but it ended up just passing me by. All this 'emotional' talk aside, I have to say that I really didn't wear a lot of makeup because most days were kind of lazy days. One big favourite was London ofcourse - but I feel like that's a lifelong favourite.

You all know I love a good matte lip. I still prefer it over a shimmery lipstick or a lipgloss everyday, even though my lips are suffering due to the medication I'm taking to fight my acne rosacea - which is actually doing a great job. I try to use the more hydrating (or no) lipsticks and even a gloss once in a while, but I'm a sinner. I can't resist a good matte lip once in a while, not even in summer. So how could I ever resist 'ordering' (read: asking my mother to bring them back from Italy for me) one of the most talked about matte lip stain of this moment? I couldn't. NYX's Eyeshadow Base

Summer is still going strong and my lips are still parched. This means I'm upping my eyeshadow game. What does one need then? A good eyeshadow base that keeps my eyelids from going oily and make them colours pop! So I picked up the Eyeshadow Base in White by NYX to see if it made any difference.

Essence's liquid ink eyeliner

When my liquid eyeliner addiction started, I didn't know that there was something as a felt tip. I started off with brush applicators and had to practice for hours (okay, that's probably not true, but still a very long time) on end until I finally got the hang of it. I kept using these type op eyeliners until I finally discovered the felt tip liner and fell in love. Now, a whole while later, I decided to give my old ways another try and picked up the Liquid Ink Eyeliner Waterproof by Essence.

MUA Pink Sorbet Trio

Who's in for some affordable sorbet? Very fitting for these summery - way too hot for me - times, isn't it? Today I'm going to talk about the MUA (Make Up Academy) Baked Trio Eyeshadow in the shade Pink Sorbet. I was sent this a while back for a makeup swap, but since I never gravitate towards baked products (eyeshadows, blushes, you name it), I hadn't given this one a fair go until recently.

Travel Roundup: London, Baby

LONDON! How I love this city. I've been here a couple of times already, but this time, we (me, my mom and my sister) decided to stay for 5 days! It's almost scary how fast we can get there by train. Not that I'm complaining! I could have stayed there even a little longer - with a bit more rest periods ofcourse, otherwise my feet would have compelety given up on me. Let's talk about some more lipstick, dears! You should know - for sure now - that I'm a complete, utter lipstick addict. My mission: trying out every single formula that's on the market. It will probably never happen - partly because I really won't get my hands on every single one of them - but I can try, right? Today I'll be talking about the Ultimate Stay Lipstick by Catrice.

Let's talk some more powder. It has been a while since I've changed mine up but I thought it was time for a shade and picked up the Studio Finishing Powder by NYX because I've heard many good thing about it.
