Aftershave Hype Tested

Who in this community hasn't heard of this wonder of makeup, of life and everything surrounding it? It's a 'myth' first seen, experienced and told by Nikkietutorials, who doesn't really need an introduction I guess - youtube makeup queen! - and has been hyped up so much I needed to try it out for myself. Well, I'm talking about the Nivea Men Sensitive Aftershave Balm.

Let me start out by saying that the only reason I waited this long to try this product out is because my skin is oily as hell. If hell would be oily. So the thought of putting something extra moisturising kind of scared me. But the fact that it's fitted for sensitive skin was a big plus. So I contemplated for a long time and finally got told to buy it by someone else. Hey, thank god for enablers!

Thank god indeed. I love this product so much. I started using this when winter was still in full force so my skin was a little dryer and it made my makeup look so perfect! Dewy, but not too much. My foundation/base also applied easier and my skin felt plump and healthy.

Now that it's warmer, I don't gravitate towards it as much, seeing that my skin is getting more oily once again, so I don't feel like I need it as much. When I do use it, I do notice it makes me a bit more oily a bit faster. So when you're skin is extremely oily, this may not be for you. It hasn't given me any breakouts though, so if you really want to, give it a go.

When you first apply it, it does smell like sexy men. I'm not bothered by that, but if you are, don't worry. The smell doesn't linger. It also feels very refreshing, so it's awesome to use in the morning while getting ready.

Another plus is that it's a big bottle and it's. Well. Affordable.It gets a thumbs up by me, especially when you've got a dry to combination skin type. This hype does do itself justice in my opinion.
