MAC Lip Liner + LE dupe!

Spring has sprung, so ofcourse I have to write a blog post about one of my most autumnal themed shades in my lip pencil and lipstick collection. I guess I just can't let go of autumn, even though it has long come and passed. I'm just a straight up 'fallen leaves' (the song too, yes) and cinnamon spiced everything kind of gal. So instead of fully going into spring colours and trends - though I love those, too - I want to talk about my favourite brown-orangey lip colours. This time it's the Spice lip pencil by MAC.

left: spice lip liner - right: pander me lipstick
I actually picked this up because I was on the hunt for that perfect dupe for the Pander Me lip liner and I thought you guys would be interested in this as well, seeing it's my most read post over here (link).
After standing there in the store with a dozen swatches all over my arms of all the browny nudes and Pander Me somewhere in there as well, I settled on this liner as the closest match. As you can see, it's a but more orange, but the difference is almost neglectable when worn on the lips.

About the product itself now. I have only ever worn cheap lip pencils and was already impressed by these, but now I know what a true lip pencil can do. It's a smooth formula, yet not as smooth as the essence lip pencils I talked about before, but that's not a bad thing at all. It's easy to apply and stays put for a good while afterwards. I've eaten with this - and had some stressed out driving lessons while wearing this - and I can safely say it endured all of the drinks and lip biting.

I really think you can wear this all on his own when you couldn't get your hands on my beloved Pander Me, but for now I am combining the two just to get a longer wear out of the lipstick I love so dearly. This way it will stay with me longer.
But like I said; if you weren't able to buy the lipstick and you fancy trying out an autumn colour for spring, try this pencil (€15.00) and let me know what you think of it!
By the way, if your complexion is darker than mine and on the warm side, this is a beautiful nude colour! Pair it with some bright eyes and it truly is a spring appropriate colour! ;)
