Nails Of The Night #6

Okey, I caved in and painted my nails a spring colour. Shame on me after that last post! But you know, my main reason to do so wasn't because this is such a pretty mint colour. It's because this nail polish is supposed to smell like an apple. I'm talking about  Apple Pie from the Fruit Pastel collection by Models Own.

Let's start out by talking about the colour and the opaqueness of this polish. As I said, this is a minty, pastelly green shade. Sadly enough it applies kind of streaky, though it's not a pain in the A to apply. In the pictures above I applied two layers and you still can see some lines.

One thing I was impressed with, was that  it stayed on my nails for three days! This picture was taken on the third day and you can see some minimal chipping, but it kept up really well on my brittle nails!

Now, about the scent... I'm sad to report that it didn't linger on my nails at all. I love a good fresh apple scent and I would have been  one happy puppy if my nails smelled like them for the rest of my life - instant refreshment! But this scent only lasted for one day and that could be an overstatement.
I did really like the scratch sticker on top of the bottle though.

  1. I've been really curious about the scented range from Model's Own, I'm glad I didn't indulge now! I feel like a non-streaky formula is more important than a smell that only lasts a day! Thanks for the great review :)
