I'm starting a new 'series' on my blog, if you didn't figure this out yet :p This is a more impulsive, not as much scheduled update than my other posts and may happen at any time apart from my usual posts - which are every monday and thursday.

Essence's Bright Box
Recently, the Essence display at Kruidvat has been updated to a more advanced version and it is huge now - in belgian terms. To go along with the new display, there's also some new products available that I couldn't get my hands on before, one of those being the How To Make Bright Eyes make-up box. There's also a nude version, but I picked this one up because I wanted something new to experiment with.

E.L.F. Glossy Lip Products
It's time. Finally I will talk about one of my favourite brands that can be described as affordable, natural and cruelty-free. E.L.F., short for Eyes Lips Face, is all three of those things. Their philosophy is that cruelty-free and natural make up doesn't have to be expensive. I have several types of their products - and I'm only just getting started - so I thought I'd start out by talking about the 'glossy' products I've already purchased of them.

Affordable Kiko Goodies
As a beauty product addict, I'm always up for an affordable brand. So when I discovered Kiko, an italian brand that has been called the MAC of the highstreet (meaning: more affordable), I surely had to take a look. By the way, this post -again- couldn't have been without the help of my friend Marjolein, who provided me with these goodies after her trip to Italy.

Nic's Picks
Brushes. The one thing I want to buy a lot of but restrain myself to just treat myself once in a while and manage to do so - even though it's hard sometimes. I also like a more affordable brush, meaning less than €20 per brush. So when I saw this - limited edition - set from Real Techniques and thought I really could use every single brush in this set, I snatched it up from feelunique and waited impatiently for this beautiful parcel.

MAC's Rocky Horror Picture Show Collection
Time to haul/review another limited edition collection by MAC! Ofcourse, I restrained myself from buying all the products and did a good job doing so. I only fell for the FrankNFurter Lipstick (because come on, I could not leave it at the counter, could I? My sweet Franky?) and the Sculpt And Shape Powder in Bone Beige/Emphasize.

catrice photo finish foundation
By now you guys now I love a good opportunity to buy a new make up item. This time I thought I needed a foundation without spf because I was going to go out that evening and I suspected there might be some flash photography present. I was right.
So when I went to Kruidvat in my search for an affordable, non-spf-ey foundation, I came across the photo finish 18h liquid foundation by Catrice - an affordable brand I've had really good experiences with already, I thought I'd just try it out.

Brittle Nail Problems?
When somebody (with more experience in the nail area than me) recommended me to use a nail hardener by herĂ´me, I thought I'd give it a go.

Essence's lashmania + a little princess update
Mascara. I think I can safely say it's the most used make up product ever. You might not be as much into make up as I am, but I bet there's still a tube of mascara hanging out in your near surroundings. I, on the other hand - being an addict, have several. I try not to buy too much at the same time, but I've found myself on a 'small' mission to test out all of the most affordable mascaras on the block.
This time I've been trying out Essence's lashmania reloaded mascara.
